Early Summer Dinner Party for Nike

Last month, Chris and I were asked to host a dinner party and studio tour for a group of top designers from Nike. The creative team was on a three day trip to NYC & Brooklyn to gather inspiration to bring back to Nike’s Innovation Kitchen in Beaverton Oregon. The night was a huge success and we were thrilled to have such an incredible group of people in our space.

The evening began with a studio tour and presentation on the printmaking experiments and methodologies used in my art and design work. With such a talented and inquisitive group of individuals, it was interesting to hear them connect much of my process to their own as product developers.

Afterwards, we had a delicious four-course meal prepared by Chris Lanier (chef), Ryan Weston (sous chef), and Can Misirlioglu (sommelier). The menu items celebrated the start of summer and made use of local farmers and artisans from Brooklyn and Upstate New York including Slow Roots Farm, Kinderhook Farm, Ravenwood Farm, Clinton Vinyards and Berried Treasures. Thanks to everyone who came out. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
