de Kooning: A Retrospective

I’m looking forward to seeing the de Kooning Retrospective that’s currently up at the MOMA. Planning to take my students there this week as we study color. Some of my favorites will be on view including Pink Angels (above, 1945).

These two (above), considered “abstract pastoral landscapes” are from the mid 50′s when de Kooning’s work became even more loose in form.
